Implant Retained Dentures

Implant Retained Dentures

An effective way to restore lost teeth, implant retained dentures can provide a durable, permanent option for oral reconstruction. Implant retained dentures are made up of an implant, a post placed in your gums connected to the implant and a natural-looking denture attachment that fits on to the post.

Implant Placement

In the implant process, the titanium frames are surgically placed in your jaw bone right below your gums in the area of the missing tooth. Once the frames are allowed to integrate to your bone, a post is securely attached to them. Then, the denture attachment is fitted to the post, preventing the shifting or slipping you might encounter with typical dentures. You are left with natural looking, sturdy new teeth!

Benefits of Implant Retained Dentures

Dental Implants offer a wide range of benefits. Your teeth will look and feel natural, without the discomfort or soreness some experience with ordinary dentures or bridges. Since slipping isn’t a concern, you will be able to speak and eat normally as well. Implants look and feel like regular teeth, so you will feel much more self confident about your smile again.

Letting lost teeth go untreated can cause a number of problems. Missing teeth can affect what foods or drinks you can consume, which can lead to poor nutrition and overall health. Your bite can also be affected, causing your teeth to line up improperly which can lead to possible jaw joint or other bite problems. Your self-esteem can be reduced as well, if you feel self-conscious and worry about people noticing missing teeth.
